Christmas is vey special and magic for me, so I try to transmit this “magic” to my students. Sometiemes you don’t need to think a lot, because simple things can rock!
In my family we usually meet all together just for two reasons:
About the first one, in Catalonia we always eat soup and chicken, which is really hard… This afternoon I’ve been cooking with my grandma during 3 hours… Anyway! The result is amazing… I think we are a good team!
On the other hand, we always play funny games! They are very simple and cheap!
And that’s what I did with my students the last week of school! Here I show you 5 simple games to play with your family or students! I hope you like them!
1. SECRET SANTA
For this Secret Santa, the most important thing is your imagination. Last day of school, children was very tired and excited for holidays, so I decided to organize a Secret Santa, but with different rules:
They have to give a handmade present.
They have to write letters to their partners.
They have to be invisible.
The result was really good! They were very happy with all the gifts.
2. CHRISTMAS KARAOKE!
The second game is very simple! If you like singing and you want to have fun, a Christmas karaoke is the best option! You can use playlists from youtube where you can find the song and the lyrics!
3. ROLL A SCULPTURE!
This is a very funny game to do with your family! You only need a dice and a paper. These are the instructions:
2. Kitchen objects
3. Bathroom objects
The objective is to build a sculpture with objects depending on the number you take! You can play this game in teams or alone! The funny thing is that you only have one minute to build your artwork!
4. THE WEREWOLVES!
This is one of my favourite card game to play with friends! It’s very funny , but you have to think a lot! I discovered this amazing game during my degree! (Thank you Edward!)
5. WHAT’S IN YOUR MIND?
For this game you only need post-it and pen
If you play with children, you can use animals, plants or objects.
But if you play with older people, I recomend you to use actions, films or sentences! It seems to be very simple, but it really works!
And that’s it!
