As many teachers in the world I really love stories and tales, and I usually use them to teach my students. The truth is that I love storytelling because I had an amazing teacher during my degree!
I think they are very usefull to match concepts and contextualize all they knowledge.
My first favourite author is Julia Donalson. She is amazing, her stories have a special power.
She has books like: The Gruffalo
Room on the Broom
The snail and the whale
TheSmartest giant in town…
Brown bear Brown bear…What about Eric Carle?
is an American designer, illustrator, and writer of children’s books. He is most famous for The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a picture book with few words that has been translated into more than 58 languages and sold more than 38 million copies.
I love his books because they are very simple and you can use them with young students!
” And so the boy and his friend went home together, talking about wonderful things all the way” Oliver Jeffers
He has books like:
Lost and Found
How to catch a star
Heart and the bottle
The way back home
And finally, there is one story I really love because of it’s message and it’s vocabulary…. and it story is Giraffes can’t Dance by Giles Andreae.
This is a wonderful story about animals, but also about people. From my point of view Gerald, the main character of the story, can teach you a lot of awasome things.
NEXT WEEK I WILL USE THIS STORY WITH MY STUDENTS!!!
What do you think about these books? Do you have more ?
Feel free and leave your comments!
🙂 THANK YOU!
